It's a good feeling knowing that ticks can't get on you when wearing Tick Tape wrap. But once you're done, it's still important to take precautions when removing the wrap.
Since Tick Tape Wrap prevents the ticks from climbing ABOVE the wrap, there still may be ticks present below the wrap, that haven't yet been trapped by the wrap's adhesive.
So here are some tips for removing the wrap:
1) Inspect your clothing below the wrap for any ticks.
First look over your pants to see if there are any ticks on you that haven't become trapped by the adhesive. We recommend rolling one of the rolls of the wrap over your clothing (like a lint roller) to get any ticks present, especially ticks that are too small to see well.
2) Carefully remove the wrap.
We recommend removing the wrap and rolling it up with the adhesive facing inward to trap any ticks present.
3) Properly dispose of the wrap.
It's important to properly dispose of the wrap so to ensure ticks won't be able to get loose. You can seal the used wrap in a zip-lock bag to make sure they will stay trapped.
